Ojai should be proud. As a former Jeopardy! contestant myself, who went down in flames to the indomitable Ken Jennings, I can vouch for the diffficulty of the deed.
There is significant home-field advantage on Jeopardy! We have a story in tomorrow's paper. Lorraine hit the nail on the head, so to speak, when she talked about the importance of the buzzer.
It isn't about being blazing fast - in fact, that hurts, because if you buzz in early, you are locked out for a half second. It's about capturing the timing of guy offstage who activates the buzzing.
